The Pittsburgh Human Resources Association (PHRA) has named HRV’s Kori Amos (Recruiting Manager) as president-elect of PHRA staring in 2017. In 2018, Kori will become president of that organization, which serves nearly 1,200 HR professionals in the greater Pittsburgh region and is the local affiliate chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM).
HRV President H. Rochelle Stachel said, “This is a significant career accomplishment for Kori. Her willingness and efforts to contribute to her profession in a leadership role deserves recognition, and reflects the values and ideals of HRV.”
A member of PHRA since 2009, Kori currently sits on that organization’s board of directors and has previously served in key PHRA leadership roles including vice president of Membership and chair of the Social Media Committee.
Kori’s primary role as president-elect will be to provide leadership to the local chapter consistent with state, regional, and SHRM policies, strategies and objectives. She will be responsible for effectively operating the chapter in a manner that best serves the needs of its members. Additionally, she will serve as a voting member of the Pennsylvania State Council-SHRM.
