For the 14th consecutive year, HRV supported the Sharing and Caring Veterans Riverboat Cruise event, which provides U.S. military veterans with entertainment, contests, prizes, dancing, gifts, a hot buffet lunch, and a memorial ceremony on the river. HRV doubled its highest previous level of support by contributing to the sponsorship of 82 veterans in attendance at this year’s event held on September 11, 2016.
HRV President H. Rochelle Stachel said, “Our annual participation in Sharing and Caring demonstrates a strong commitment to community and to this important, but often neglected, segment of America’s population—veterans of the U.S. Military Services who are hospitalized. We’ve raised the bar with this year’s record level of support. It truly is an achievement of which to be proud, and I am confident HRV will continue to be a part of this valuable effort to bring happiness to veterans in need.”
Sharing and Caring is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of hospitalized veterans.
