The National Fall Prevention Safety Stand‐Down to prevent falls associated with the construction industry is a voluntary, week-long awareness event in which employers conduct open discussions with employees about fall hazards, protective methods and safety policies, goals and expectations.
HRV Executive Vice President Robert E. Stachel, P.E., said, “With our employees being so closely connected to the construction industry in both fabrication shops and on construction sites, OSHA’s annual National Safety Stand-Down safety initiative provides an opportunity to raise awareness and promote prevention of fall hazards. Our participation in the National Safety Stand-Down program strongly supports one of HRV’s core values—safety. It also demonstrates our commitment to the safety of all HRV employees.”
HRV’s schedule of Stand-Down activities included safety videos and webinars, field and shop visits, a smartphone game app, a safety quiz, chances to win gift cards and more.
